Director, publisher, chairman of the board, and editorialist of An-Nahar Newspaper, Gebran Tueni was very well known for his fountain pen. When he ran for parliamentary elections in 2005, the concept of using his fountain pen as a dart targeting a bullseye was employed in his electoral campaign. The design of all the elements and collateral of the campaign were also conceived and executed.
In May 2005, Gebran Tueni was elected a Member of Parliament of Lebanon for the Greek Orthodox seat in Beirut, a position he maintained until his assassination by a car bomb in December of the same year.
