THE NEED

The Department of Advertising and Public Relations at Michigan State University needed an identity.


THE REASONING

Red was picked because it represents excitement and energy, both of which are characteristics of the department. The figure-ground logo was organized on a grid. It reveals a white plus sign between the d and p.
The logo was applied on collateral including stationery and apparel. The exclamation mark was used as an additional brand element to represent the "joy of discovery" for both, research and creative practices in the department.


AWARDS

This project won a Bronze Addy at the American Advertising Awards, Mid-Michigan chapter.
